The first book/books we will work through is titled “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren. Also available (which will be very helpful but not required) is The Purpose-Driven Life Journal. You can find this at most bookstores, usually in the Religious, Self-Help or Body, Mind & Spirit sections, or online. This will be a 40-day exercise and will begin tomorrow, January 3, 2011. I will do my utmost to post at the beginning of each day. If you need more time to acquire your book/books, please leave a comment. I can postpone to beginning one week from today.
The second book will be “Getting Things Done” by David Allen. This book has 3 parts and 13 chapters. I’m unsure how many weeks we will spend going through this book. I may need to split it into 13 weeks, as I believe each chapter is quite a process and for those of us clutter-junkies, parents, full-time employees and head-strong procrastinators (myself included), we may need 7 days per chapter to go through this process of change and learning how to organize our lives. Let me know your thoughts on this by posting a comment.
The third book/books to work through is “One Month To Live – Thirty Days To A No-Regrets Life” by Kerry & Chris Shook. We will read and work through this daily practice for (duh) 30 days.
If there is a certain book you would like to study and put into daily practice, please let me know by posting a comment and we may add it to our list to work through daily, together.
So, here’s to us, to our journeys in life, to becoming more – more of the person we are choosing to become.
